I have been releasing TTRPGs for over 5 years now and in that time there have been a few that I'm particularly proud of:
Totally Real Human Adults
WHAT IS A (HU)MAN?
...but a miserable pile of animals.
You play as one in a stack of creatures in a trench coat. You must perform a variety of normal human tasks without being discovered. These can be going to the mall, participating in a dinner party, working in an office job, or a series of small vignettes throughout a day in the life of a human adult. Anything that a totally normal human adult would be seen doing during totally normal circumstances.
Work together (or against each other in teams) to be the most credible human you can be.
Greetings From ______
Greetings From ______ is a mapmaking/worldbuilding game for 1-6 players. Players take turns moving around the map and creating what they find there. Work together to build a unique world that can be used for other role-playing systems, creating stories, or whatever else you might want to use it for (because sometimes you just want to make a cool map).
Reve
Experience the freedom of playing through a shared lucid dream. Players can do anything they can think of as their DreamSelf™ but run the risk of waking up if they push to far.
The game is played with a unique system that allows players to always succeed but not without consequence. Each player writes a list of what they can do, but the more specific it is, the more likely it is to wake them up.
The automatic success of what the players attempt means that the conflicts they will encounter are more emotional and cerebral than physical.
Witch's Brew
You are a coven of witches, meeting from across the region to discuss their plans for the next few months. You want to make sure things are working towards your goals as much as possible. This happens in an almost secret fashion under the guise of conversation over tea. Each witch will attempt to guide the selection of the other’s upcoming projects to further their own goals and gain the most influence in the coming months.
The selection process is done over a simple cup of tea that, to others, would look like a quiet conversation. Each Witch votes by how many sips they take.
The players each have a secret goal that these projects might help along. Make sure you vote for the projects that you think will help your goals.
Long Rest
This is a game about a group of people sitting around a fire and working through their collective trauma and past hardships. Through doing this you collaboratively build a story of these people and their past.
Each player is a member of a group (adventuring party, sci-fi rebels, group of teenagers, whatever story you wish to tell) taking a break and dealing with trauma from some recent events. The game is ideally played around a fire with the group throwing their prompts into the flames (if a fire is not available, a bowl or basket is a perfect substitution). Players assign emotional weight to their portion of each tale, but must be careful to not be too blasé or overly dramatic. The only way for the group to succeed is to be honest and confront their feelings while helping share the load of others.
